ROP arrest several in theft and narcotics cases

 
Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) continues its efforts to combat crime across the Sultanate, with several significant arrests made in recent days involving theft and drug trafficking.

In North Al Batinah Governorate, the Police Command arrested a citizen and a Pakistani expatriate in connection with the theft of a vehicle parked in the Muwailih area of Sohar. Legal procedures are currently underway.



In a separate case, the same police command successfully thwarted an attempt to smuggle over 95 kilograms of crystal meth and morphine by sea. Three Omani citizens were arrested for possession of the narcotics with intent to traffic. The suspects are currently undergoing legal proceedings.

Meanwhile, in Dhofar Governorate, the Police Command apprehended two Jordanian nationals accused of stealing cash, gold jewelry, and electronic devices from several homes in Salalah and Seeb. Legal action is being taken against the suspects.

The Royal Oman Police reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining public security and called on residents to report suspicious activities through official communication channels.
