MoHERI seeks tie-up with Naturalis
MUSCAT: Dr Rahma bint Ibrahim al Mahrouqiyah, Minister of Higher Education, Research and Innovation (MoHERI), received in her office on Monday Edwin van Huis, General Director of Naturalis Biodiversity Centre of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, and Marjolein van Breemen, Director of the Museum at Naturalis Biodiversity Centre.
During the meeting, both sides explored means of enhancing cooperation in the field of providing consultancy services and drafting a master plan to establish an integrated national centre that undertakes several roles, including research and conservation of genetic resources. The centre is proposed to be established at the Sultan Haitham City. The meeting was attended by Dr Saif bin Abdullah al Haddabi, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation for Research and Innovation, and several officials from the ministry. — ONA
