This year’s conference, themed “Leadership in Open Space,” aims to redefine leadership and human capital development in Oman, reflecting OSHRM’s progressive vision for the future.
During a press conference held on Monday, OSHRM leaders outlined the key themes and objectives for this year’s event, which will tackle pressing issues in HR aligned with global trends. Other areas of focus include diversity and inclusion, leadership development in the private sector, and HR analytics.
Dr Ghalib bin Saif al Hosni, Chairperson of OSHRM, noted that modern leadership extends far beyond operational management. He explained, “Today’s leaders must be catalysts for innovation, continuously developing and creating measurable impact both within organisations and across society. The rapid changes in labour markets, shaped by customer expectations, technological disruptions, and global economic shifts, demand leadership that is inclusive and adaptable.” Dr al Hosni highlighted the importance of leadership models that not only reflect industrial trends but also align with national policy priorities and sustainability goals. He stressed that such models will foster sustainable growth and strengthen organisational resilience.
Faisal al Siyabi, CEO of OSHRM, reinforced the Society’s commitment to fostering professional excellence and innovation across Oman’s workplaces. He explained that the 8th Annual Conference would be a key step in reshaping the HR sector, bringing together local talent with global expertise. “This conference is about creating future-ready systems of work that are founded on innovation, collaboration, and visionary leadership,” said Al Siyabi. “Our aim is to connect Oman’s HR community with international insights while tailoring solutions to our local realities.” The event will feature a distinguished lineup of speakers from both Oman and abroad, offering a wealth of experience and expertise in human capital and organisational development. The conference will serve as a platform for knowledge exchange and discussion on strategies for addressing the evolving business landscape, with a particular focus on the future of leadership in the face of rapid changes.
In addition to the conference, OSHRM will host an international exhibition showcasing the latest HR technologies and solutions. The exhibition will provide a valuable opportunity for networking, sponsorship, and partnership development, offering exclusive visibility for exhibitors.
