EID AROUND THE WORLD

Volunteers prepare food in 183 large pots to feed people for Eid Al Fitr in Cape Town. This event is organised by Muslim non-profit organisation Nakhlistan. Four tonnes of meat, 3 tonnes of rice, 3 tonnes of potatoes, 2 tonnes of onions, various spices and 70,000 pieces of wood are used to produce enough Aknie, an aromatic meat, potato and rice dish, to make over 90,000 meals. — AFP
