Gen Sultan bin Mohammed al Numani, Minister of the Royal Office, received in his office on Wednesday Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan, and his accompanying delegation.

During the meeting, they reviewed the march of bilateral relations and explored means of promoting them to serve joint interests. The meeting was attended by Chargé d’Affaires of Afghanistan’s Embassy in Muscat.

Al Numani also received Qais Saad al Amri, Ambassador of Iraq to the Sultanate of Oman.

They explored ways to strengthen joint cooperation between Oman and Iraq. They also touched on some issues of mutual interest on the regional and international arenas.



In another meeting, the Minister of the Royal Office met Florin Marius Tacu, Ambassador of Romania to Oman, on the occasion of the end of his tour of duty as his country’s ambassador to Oman.

Al Numani thanked the ambassador for his efforts in enhancing bilateral relations and joint cooperation between the two countries, wishing him success in his future endeavours.

On his turn, the ambassador expressed his appreciation for the cooperation he received, lauding the strength of the bilateral relations between Oman and Romania.
