Muscat, Salalah airports win top accolades for service quality

Muscat: The Airports Council International (ACI) has honoured Muscat International Airport and Salalah Airport with the prestigious Airport Service Quality (ASQ) awards for the Middle East region. The awards are based on ACI’s airport performance survey, which evaluates key indicators of passenger experience at global airports.

Muscat International Airport was named ‘Best Airport in the Middle East’ in the 5 to 15 million passengers category. It also secured the awards for ‘Best Airport Staff in the Middle East,’ ‘Easiest Airport Journey in the Middle East,’ and ‘Cleanest Airport in the Middle East.’



Meanwhile, Salalah Airport was recognised as ‘Best Airport in the Middle East’ in the under 2 million passengers category. It also won awards for ‘Best Airport Staff in the Middle East,’ ‘Easiest Airport Journey in the Middle East,’ ‘Most Enjoyable Airport in the Middle East,’ and ‘Cleanest Airport in the Middle East.’

Additionally, Salalah Airport has been included in ACI’s Director General’s Roll of Excellence, which recognises airports consistently providing exceptional customer experience.

Salalah Airport is set to be listed among the Top 10 Airports in the 2025 Roll of Excellence, a prestigious ranking established in 2011. Since its inception, 82 airports have been included in this elite list. Notably, Muscat International Airport was inducted into this list in 2024.
