Oman airports record over 1.3 mn passengers by end of January 2025

 
Muscat: Airports in the Sultanate of Oman recorded a total of 1,331,619 passengers by the end of January 2025, marking a 6 percent decline compared to 1,417,442 passengers during the same period in 2024, according to preliminary data from the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI).

Muscat International Airport handled the majority of passenger traffic, with 1,200,339 travelers recorded, reflecting a 7 percent decrease.

The number of flights also dropped by 7.5 percent to 8,099. Of these, 7,410 were international flights carrying 1,109,650 passengers, while 689 domestic flights transported 90,689 passengers.

Salalah Airport, however, saw a 5 percent rise in passenger numbers, reaching 126,506 travelers on 822 flights—an increase of 1.6 percent compared to January 2024. The airport recorded 404 international flights carrying 59,429 passengers, while domestic flights totaled 418 with 67,077 passengers.

Suhar Airport operated six international and four domestic flights, while Duqm Airport recorded 4,774 passengers on 52 flights.
