Oman showcases urban vision at MIPIM 2025

Oman’s pavilion will highlight major real estate and urban development projects.
MUSCAT: The Sultanate of Oman is set to participate in MIPIM 2025, one of the world’s premier urban development forums, held in Cannes from March 11-14. This year’s event, themed 'Shaping Sustainable Cities,' will bring together 20,000 participants from 90 countries, including investors, developers, and policymakers.
Oman’s pavilion will highlight major real estate and urban development projects, including Sultan Haitham City, Al Khuwair Downtown, Salalah Future City, Oman Mountain Front, and Thuraya City. These projects align with the country’s commitment to creating smart, sustainable, and investment-friendly urban spaces.
Jamal bin Nasser al Hadi, spokesperson for the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, emphasised that Oman’s participation is geared toward attracting global investors, showcasing large-scale developments, and positioning Oman as a leading real estate destination. The country is actively integrating advanced urban planning and smart city technologies to enhance the competitiveness of its property sector.
A key highlight of Oman’s presence at MIPIM 2025 will be a session by Dr Khalfan bin Said al Shuaili, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, discussing how long-term demographic shifts influence urban sustainability, with comparisons between Europe and emerging markets.
Oman’s delegation will also host nine specialised discussions, focusing on future real estate trends, investment incentives, and smart city infrastructure.
Adding to its prominence, the Sultan Haitham City project has been shortlisted among the top four finalists for the prestigious MIPIM 2025 Awards, which recognise excellence in urban innovation and sustainability. The winners will be announced at a ceremony attended by global real estate leaders.
