MUSCAT: Renaissance Cricket (RT) team emerged victorious in the inaugural edition of the prestigious OC 2-Day Tournament, showcasing resilience, skill and tactical brilliance to claim the championship title. The tournament, a marquee event in Oman’s domestic cricket calendar with prize money of RO 1000 announced for the first time, witnessed four of the top teams of the Premier Division battling over two rounds of league matches to claim title, reaffirming the nation’s growing cricketing standards.

The OC 2-Day Tournament, known for its elongated format, tested the endurance and strategic depth of participating teams. The event brought together Oman’s first division cricketers, providing them with the platform to adapt to the longer format and hone their techniques.

Renaissance Cricket team claimed the title by bagging 22 points with 4 clean wins and 2 ties, while Muscat CT ended up on No 2 with 14 points winning 2 matches. Majees CT and IAS CT were the other participating teams.
