RO 38m Al Jufainah Dam in Al Amerat opens

The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources on Wednesday celebrated the opening of Al Jufainah Protection Dam in the Wilayat of Al Amerat, Muscat Governorate. The dam, which costs more than RO 38 million to build, has a storage capacity of about 15.7 million cubic metres of water. The dike is 30 metres high and 2,287 metres long. The ceremony was held under the auspices of Dr Mohammed bin Said al Maamari, Minister of Awqaf and Religious Affairs. — ONA
