MUSCAT: Kuwait SC and Qatar’s Al Arabi secured slot to the final match of the 41st Gulf Handball Club Championship which is hosted by Oman Club in Muscat and underway at main hall of Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Bausher. Kuwait qualified following their defeat over Qatar’s Al Rayyan by 28-27 in a thrilling match while Qatar’s Al Arabi stun Saudi Arabia’s Al Noor in the semifinals on Saturday.

Earlier on the same day and In the placement match, Dibba Al Huson from UAE took 5th place after defeating Oman’s Seeb by 34-26. Seeb will face the host team, Oman Club, in the 6th and 7th place match on Sunday.

The final match will take place on Monday at 6:30 pm. The concluding match will feature attendance of top dignitaries including presence of Nabil Ashoor, UAE Handball Association Chairman, Hassan Naser Hilal, Chairman of Saudi Arabia Handball Association beside other officials.

The championship which started on last Saturday featured seven teams, divided into two groups. Group A featured from Al Rayyan (Qatar), Al Noor (Saudi Arabia) and Seeb (Oman) while group B: comprised from: Oman Club (Oman), Kuwait SC (Kuwait), Dibba Al Hosun (UAE) and Al Arabi (Qatar).
