MUSCAT: Egypt secured a spot in the final of the of the FIH Hockey Men's Nations Cup 2 , hosted by the Sultanate of Oman, after defeating the United States 4-2. Meanwhile, Scotland also advanced to the final after a 4-1 victory over Austria in the matches held at Hockey Oman Stadium in Al Amerat.

The match began with high intensity as the US took an early lead in the 6th minute through Kei Kaeppeler’s penalty corner, but Egypt responded immediately with Nasr Mohamed’s equaliser. Oman doubled their lead early in the third quarter with a stunning goal from Sanad al Fazari (35’), but Austria responded quickly. Nikolas Wellan (39’) pulled one back, followed by Fülöp Losonci’s equaliser (43’), and Josef Winkler completed the comeback a minute later, giving Austria a 3-2 lead.
