Oman offers sympathies to Kuwait after military exercise incident

The Sultanate of Oman has expressed its condolences and sympathy to the government and people of the State of Kuwait following an incident during live ammunition training exercises that affected several members of the Kuwaiti armed forces, a statement from the Foreign Ministry said.

Oman offered its prayers of mercy for the deceased and a swift recovery for those injured.

The Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense announced on Thursday that it has formed a joint Kuwaiti-US technical team to investigate the fatal accident that occurred during the 'Desert Observer' military exercise on Wednesday.
