MUSCAT: Oman Authority for Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance of Education (OAAAQA) on Tuesday held a meeting with a team of trainers from the Kingdom of Bahrain’s “Education & Training Quality Authority” with the aim of enhancing cooperation between the two sides on ways to ensure the quality of school education and exchange expertise for achieving sustainable development goals. The meeting was chaired by Dr Jokha bint Abdullah al Shukailiyah, CEO of the OAAAQA.

The meeting included a discussion on “external auditors preparation programme” scheduled to be implemented in three governorates of Oman from February 11 to 27, 2025. The programme seeks to develop external auditors’ capabilities to assess school performance according to approved global standards, as well as basic principles of performance evaluation in the Sultanate of Oman. The programme, which will cover data collection and analysis, will help develop the participants’ skills in preparing accurate evaluation reports. — ONA
