SINAW: The inaugural Sinaw Festival commenced in the Wilayat of Sinaw, North Al Sharqiyah Governorate, under the slogan 'Sinaw is Our Destination.' Organised by the North Al Sharqiyah Governor's Office in collaboration with various public and private sector institutions, the four-day festival showcases diverse participation from the local community and small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

The event was inaugurated under the auspices of Eng Saeed bin Hamoud Al Maawali, Minister of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology.

In his opening address, Mahmoud bin Yahya Al Dhahli, Governor of North Al Sharqiyah, highlighted that the festival serves as a dynamic platform supporting entrepreneurship, fostering innovation, and enhancing investment opportunities. He emphasised that it also celebrates the region’s rich cultural heritage, particularly that of Wilayat Sinaw, through a variety of engaging activities.

He further noted that the festival provides an opportunity to showcase Sinaw’s economic strengths, including its thriving commercial markets, abundant agricultural and livestock resources, and strategic proximity to fishing hubs — factors that make its markets an attractive destination for shoppers seeking quality and competitive pricing. The opening ceremony featured an array of cultural performances, including poetry recitations, traditional Omani music, and a captivating light show. - ONA
