Oman rejects displacement of Palestinians from Gaza

Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman has reiterated its firm stance and absolute rejection of any attempts to displace the residents of the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories, stressing the necessity of respecting the legitimate rights of the brotherly Palestinian people to establish their independent state on their land and confirming that any plans to transfer Palestinians from their lands constitute a flagrant violation of international law and international legitimacy resolutions and a threat to security and stability in the region.

The Sultanate of Oman called on the international community to shoulder its responsibilities in protecting the rights of the Palestinian people and the importance of reaching a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian cause based on international legitimacy resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative and ensuring the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
