Discover Oman promotional campaign launched on CNN

 
Muscat: The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism (MHT) has launched the 'Discover Oman' promotional campaign on the international channel CNN, aimed at highlighting the country's distinctive tourism assets, including adventure and luxury tourism, ancient history and culture.

The campaign will continue for three months and will include broadcasting promotional clips about the Sultanate of Oman in target markets in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the United States on television as well as online via the channel’s websites, ensuring that the content reaches a wide segment of viewers interested in travel and tourism.



CNN is a global channel with a wide reach in countries around the world and target markets with 861 million viewers per month across its TV channels and electronic platforms.

The number of viewers interested in travel and tourism reached about 26.2 million viewers per month, in addition to CNN topping the list of the most accessible channels for travel and tourism enthusiasts globally by 45% and attracting various segments such as families, adventure lovers and luxury travellers. It is one of the most important segments that the Omani tourism strategy focuses on.

Azzan bin Qasim al Busaidi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism for Tourism, said the ‘Discover Oman’ campaign is a new step in our ongoing efforts to introduce the world to the beauty and uniqueness of the Sultanate of Oman as an authentic and renewed tourist destination.
