MUSCAT: The organising committee of the Tour of Oman 2025 will unveil the details of the 14th edition of the international race in a press meet which is scheduled to take place on Monday at Crown Plaza Hotel (OCEC) at 11:00 am (Muscat time) in the presence of domestic and international media representatives alongside the race officials.

The event is organised by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth in collaboration with the Oman Cycling Association and several other government and private entities. The race will take place from February 7 to 12, 2025. The Tour of Oman 2025 will kick off on Friday with the 'Muscat Classic' which will be held for the third consecutive year. The official start of the competition will be on Saturday and will run until February 12. The Tour of Oman 2025 will witness five stages covering a total distance of 881.4 km, covering a variety of terrains and landscapes across Oman.



The opening stage will begin from Bausher until Bimmah Sink Hole for a distance of 177.7 km. The following route will start from Al Rustaq Fort to Yitti Hills with a total distance of 202.9 km, while the third route will begin from Fanja to Eastern Mountain, covering a distance of 180.8 km. The fourth round of the race will start from Oman Across Ages Museum - Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre with a distance of 181.5 km. The concluding stage of the tour will begin in Imty (Izki) and finish in Jabal Al Akhdhar (Green Mountain) for a distance of 138.5 km.



This edition will feature 18 world-class teams from Europe, Asia, America and Australia. The event will attract some of the top-ranked cyclists worldwide, as it remains one of the most anticipated races for elite competitors and cycling enthusiasts. Previous editions of the race have crowned champions such as Fabian Cancellara, Vincenzo Nibali, Chris Froome, and other legendary riders.

Since its inaugural edition, the Tour of Oman has gained widespread popularity both locally and internationally, securing its place on the global cycling calendar. The race has successfully attracted some of the most renowned cyclists and elite teams worldwide, making it one of the most prestigious international tours that draw the attention of professional riders across the globe.
