His Majesty promulgates Omani Nationality Law

Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik on Sunday promulgated the Royal Decree 17/2025, issuing the Omani Nationality Law after reviewing the Basic Statute of the State and the Omani Nationality Law issued by Royal Decree 38 / 2014, by the requirements of public interest.
Article One: The provisions of the attached Omani Nationality Law shall be implemented.
Article Two: The Minister of Interior shall issue the executive regulations and decisions necessary to implement the provisions of the attached law. Until such regulations and decisions are issued, the existing regulations and decisions shall remain in force in matters not specifically addressed by the attached law, provided they do not conflict with its provisions.
Article Three: The aforementioned Omani Nationality Law is hereby repealed, as well as any provision that contradicts or conflicts with the attached law.
Article Four: This decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and shall come into effect from the day following its date of publication.
