Oman’s natural gas production rises 4.9%

MUSCAT: Oman’s total natural gas production and imports reached 56.54 billion cubic metres by the end of December 2024, reflecting a 4.9% increase from the 53.93 billion cubic metres recorded in the previous year.
Industrial projects remained the largest consumers, accounting for 51.3% of gas usage, totaling 29.05 billion cubic metres. Other key sectors included oil fields (12.13 billion cubic metres), power generation (15.11 billion cubic metres), and industrial zones (251.4 million cubic metres).
Non-associated gas production, including imports, stood at 44.93 billion cubic metres, while associated gas production reached 11.62 billion cubic metres. — ONA
