Friday the first day of Shaaban

MUSCAT: The Main Moonsighting Committee announced that Thursday, January 30, 2025, will be the last day of the month of Rajab 1446 AH, and that Friday, January 31, will mark the first day of the month of Shaaban 1446 AH. Astronomy confirms that the moon's descent on Wednesday, 29 Rajab 1446 AH (January 29, 2025), will occur before sunset in all regions of the Sultanate of Oman, making it impossible to sight the new moon of Shaaban on that day. — ONA
