MUSCAT: The Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s (OCCI) Exhibitions, Conferences, and Events Committee convened its first meeting of the year to discuss ongoing developments in regulating the exhibitions sector. Chaired by Salem bin Omar al Hashemi, the meeting was held at the Chamber’s headquarters and attended by committee members.
The committee also reviewed plans for the 'Arab Forum for Events,' an upcoming collaboration between Oman and the Arab Union for International Exhibitions and Conferences. The forum aims to strengthen communication and cooperation among Arab nations in the exhibitions and events sector.
Al Hashemi emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts among stakeholders to advance the sector. He highlighted the need for innovation, stating that growth hinges not only on regulatory improvements but also on hosting major international exhibitions and conferences that showcase Oman’s capacity to deliver world-class events. — ONA
