Muscat: The Mumbai International Airport of India's commercial capital has launched the launch of the Fast Track Immigration - Trusted Traveller Programme (FTI-TTP) to ensure seamless travel and immigration for Indian passport and OCI cardholders, the operator said through its social.
The program ensures faster immigration clearance at Mumbai Airport and has been implemented through an online portal: https://ftittp.mha.gov.in. Leveraging biometric technology, the program enables travelers to complete the immigration process in just 20 seconds.
To enroll in this program, applicants need to complete online registration by filling in their details and uploading the required documents on the portal.
The biometric data of registered applicants will be captured either at the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) or while passing through the airport.
Registered travelers will need to scan their airline-issued boarding pass at the e-gate, followed by scanning their passport.
At both arrival and departure points, the passenger's biometrics will be authenticated at the e-gates. Once this authentication is successful, the e-gate will automatically open, and immigration clearance will be deemed granted. The validity of the program is five years or until passport expiry.
The Cochin International Airport Limited (CIAL) in the Southern State of Kerala also rolled out a fast-track immigration program, an initiative by the Ministry of Home Affairs to expedite immigration procedures.
