Al Sharqiyah South unveils 2025 plan

 
Muscat: The Al Sharqiyah South Governorate held its annual meeting on Wednesday to review performance measurement mechanisms and results for 2024, alongside presenting its annual plan for 2025.

Dr Yahya bin Badr al Maawali, Al Sharqiyah South Governorate, commended the efforts made to enhance institutional performance and increase operational efficiency within the governorate. He emphasised the importance of strengthening partnerships between institutions and the community to achieve sustainable development. He called for the adoption of innovative initiatives, data governance and the development of procedures in alignment with Oman Vision 2040.

“The collaborative effort and commitment to improving institutional performance are fundamental to achieving the goals of Oman Vision 2040, which will enhance the quality of services and boost beneficiary satisfaction,” he stated.

Saada bint Salem Al Fannah al Araimi, Director of the Vision 2040 Implementation Follow-up Office in the governorate, delivered a detailed presentation on the governorate’s 2025 annual plan. She highlighted the strategic projects and initiatives aimed at meeting the national vision’s targets, with a focus on enhancing government services and infrastructure.

“The plan is designed to implement sustainable impact projects, concentrating on vital sectors such as education, health, and the economy, contributing to balanced and sustainable development in the governorate,” Al Araimi explained.

Salem bin Khadem Al Hashmi, Director of the Planning and Investment Department, provided a comprehensive report on the governorate’s performance in 2024. The report outlined the stages of performance development and evaluation results, highlighting key achievements and challenges faced by the governorate.

“The performance evaluation demonstrated significant progress in various areas, with numerous improvements implemented to elevate administrative efficiency,” Al Hashmi stated. He emphasised the role of the Institutional Excellence System in enhancing institutional performance, noting that it plays a vital role in increasing transparency and administrative efficiency, positively impacting the services delivered to citizens.
