Saham Fisheries Forum highlights food security

The Fisheries Forum was held under the theme 'Sustainability, Food Security, and Food Safety'
SAHAM: The Directorate General of Agricultural, Fisheries and Water Resources in Al Batinah North, in collaboration with the Sunan Al Bahr Committee, hosted the Fisheries Forum under the theme 'Sustainability, Food Security, and Food Safety.'
The forum, sponsored by Azzan bin Qasim al Busaidy, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism for Tourism, featured various activities focused on the importance of the fisheries sector. These included the 'Environment for Protecting the Marine Environment' event, held at Saham’s beaches and port, alongside lectures, seminars, and events such as 'Little Fisherman.'
The forum also showcased artisanal fishing tools, marine arts performances, and an exhibition on marine fishing. Several individuals and entities were honoured for their contributions to the success of the forum’s activities. — ONA
