Muscat: The Oman Basketball League witnessed thrilling action at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in the Wilayat of Bausher. Nizwa Club achieved a massive win against Salalah Club with a score of 119-45, while Ahli Sidab Club defeated Al Nasr Club 61-54. In the first match, Nizwa showcased dominance from the outset, relying on the outstanding performances of both international and local players such as Agasil Tonian, Mohammed al Anqoudi, Saif al Toubi, Suleiman al Hinai, Musab al Wahaibi, and Adam al Hinai. For Salalah, standout players included Faisal Abdul Nabi, Mohammed al Hooti, and Hamad al Wahaibi. Nizwa started strong in the first quarter, demonstrating an aggressive offensive strategy that enabled them to rapidly accumulate points and double their lead. Despite Salalah's attempts to close the gap, Nizwa scored 33 points, while Salalah managed only 6 points. In the second quarter, Nizwa maintained their momentum with strong defensive and offensive plays, countering Salalah's improved attacks. Nizwa added another 28 points, compared to Salalah's 13, concluding the first half with a commanding lead of 61-19. During the third quarter, Salalah showed some improvement offensively, scoring 29 points. However, Nizwa remained in control, adding 24 points to extend their lead to 90-43 by the end of the quarter. In the fourth quarter, Nizwa further widened the margin by scoring an additional 29 points, securing a resounding 119-45 victory. The match was officiated by a team including international referees Issam al Siyabi and Thani al Khalasi, alongside Ghalib al Hasani.
