MUSCAT: Demonstrating its commitment to fostering a healthy and sustainable work environment, the Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones (OPAZ) organised a health event at its Airport Heights headquarters. This initiative, part of the ‘Your Health Comes First’ campaign, underscores the Authority’s dedication to employee well-being and institutional excellence.
The event featured medical check-ups, awareness sessions on first aid techniques, and lectures by health consultants focused on public health, disease prevention, and positive thinking. These efforts aim to equip employees with the knowledge and resilience needed to navigate workplace and daily challenges.
Throughout the year, OPAZ has implemented various initiatives, including periodic medical check-ups during work hours, workshops on nutrition, mental health, and stress management, and the installation of medical devices for monitoring vital health parameters. The Authority also established a mini-pharmacy for seasonal illnesses and trained employees as licensed first responders.
These measures have significantly enhanced workplace productivity, expedited task completion, and fostered a culture of support and innovation, aligning employee health with the Authority’s broader objectives of excellence and sustainability.
