AL RUSTAQ: The Office of the Governor of Al Batinah South honoured the winners of the home environmental sanitation campaign competition organised by the office with the aim of combating disease vectors and fighting Aedes mosquito.

The honouring ceremony was held under the auspices of Eng Masoud bin Said al Hashmi, Governor of Al Batinah South, in the presence of members of the State Council, walis of the wilayats of Al Batinah South Governorate, members of the Majlis Ash’shura and the municipal councils as well as officials from various governmental and civil bodies.



Dr Yahya bin Sulaiman al Nadabi, Wali Al Rustaq and Chairman of the Organising Committee of the Campaign, said that the campaign is the first of its kind in the Sultanate of Oman.

It witnessed a great turnout from the people of the wilayats of Al Batinah South Governorate and contributed to a healthier environment. The campaign was not just a competition but rather a step towards building a sustainable culture of environmental care and ensuring the health of society. — ONA
