SALALAH: The Second Businesswomen Forum, organised by the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) branch in Dhofar Governorate, focused on the economic empowerment of women, enhancing their role in entrepreneurship, and fostering creative and sustainable business ideas.

Hosted at the Sultan Qaboos Youth Complex for Culture and Entertainment, the forum included two working papers on key topics.

Dr Fatima bint Ahmed Al Rai, Head of the Businesswomen Committee in Dhofar, emphasised the significance of connecting businesswomen across various sectors and highlighted the importance of small and medium enterprises.

The forum, held under the slogan ‘Made in Dhofar,’ featured a presentation by Dr Noor bint Abdullah Al Shanfari on innovation in entrepreneurship and by Dhahab bint Mohammed Habis on the role of training centres in advancing businesswomen’s skills.

An exhibition showcased projects by female entrepreneurs from Dhofar, while a dialogue session provided further insight into women’s role in entrepreneurship. The event concluded with a recognition ceremony led by Arej bint Mohsen Haider Darwish, honoring participants for their contributions. ONA
