The Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology (MTCIT) in cooperation with the Programming Academy and SAS Media Company, has launched

'Engineer it with AI' competition,

The competition will see the participation of 100 participants spread over 25 teams.

The competition is an initiative aimed at stimulating innovation in the field of generative artificial intelligence, as it targets promising talents from students, job seekers, and professionals interested in developing and using generative artificial intelligence technologies.

Haitham al Rahbi ( data analysis) one of the participants, is participating alongside four specialists (Eshaq al Mandhari, a researcher in artificial intelligence; Alhlam al Salehi, an artificial intelligence trainer; and Fatma al-Harthi, a Future Skills trainer). He said, 'Our goal is to create an AI model dedicated to unifying government communication messages. This advanced system utilizes natural language processing and deep learning techniques to enhance and organize government communication with the public.'

The model is developed using a wide range of textual data, including institutional mandates, and provides tools for automatically generating media messages, linguistically proofreading them, and integrating them into media texts, thereby delivering consistent and reliable messages.

With a user-friendly interface and API integration, government officials can input information and quickly obtain ready-to-publish texts, enhancing transparency and trust between the government and citizens.

The competition includes several stages, starting with the intensive training camp, developing technical solutions using generative artificial intelligence, and ending with the final evaluation and conclusion. This competition is a golden opportunity to enhance innovation in the field of generative artificial intelligence and support the development of advanced technical solutions that will improve lifestyles in various fields.

The National Digital Economy Program, which is supervised by the Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology, attaches great importance to the field of artificial intelligence by launching an executive program dedicated to artificial intelligence and advanced technologies. It also aims to place the Sultanate among the top 50 countries in the government's readiness index for artificial intelligence.
