OTC's 'Train the Trainer' course enhances tour guide skills

For the first time, Oman Tourism College (OTC) has launched 'Train the Trainer' course organised in collaboration with the World Federation of Tourist Guide Associations (WFTGA) in Muscat.
The course is being held from August 25 to September 9, 2024. It brings together 14 participants from diverse backgrounds of the government and private firms and companies in the tourism industry to advance their skills in tour guiding.
This course is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and tools necessary to effectively train new tour guides. The programme will cover best practices in tour guiding, visitor interaction techniques, and tour management, with a focus on developing effective communication and leadership skills.
The course is being held at the Oman Tourism College in Muscat, renowned for its rich history and vibrant culture, making it an ideal location for training the future leaders in the field of tour guiding.
