MUSCAT: The Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning has unveiled six new investment opportunities through the Tatweer platform, aimed at establishing agricultural projects in Al Dhahirah Governorate. These opportunities cover a total area of 27 acres.

The new projects include two ventures focused on growing cucurbits and Omani garlic in the Kabara area of Ibri, each spanning 4.5 acres. Additionally, four projects dedicated to palm cultivation and date production are also available, each covering 4.5 acres in the same region.

These initiatives are designed to bolster the agricultural sector and encourage investors to participate in sustainable agricultural ventures within the Sultanate of Oman.

The move aligns with the Sultanate’s Vision 2040, which seeks to enhance agricultural growth.

The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources is collaborating with the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning and the private sector to develop and allocate lands for these investment projects. The goal is to foster agricultural development and contribute to food security in Oman. - ONA
