Oxy Oman signs contracts boosting its ICV initiatives

Oxy Oman’s ICV strategy demonstrates its efforts to contribute to the local economy in line with Oman Vision 2040 strategy.
MUSCAT: As part of its commitment to In-Country Value (ICV), Oxy Oman signed new contracts with PCM Muscat LCC for the supply of PCP (Progressive Cavity Pump) equipment and support services and Al Khazain Oilfield Services for fuel generator services. The signing ceremony was held at Oxy Oman’s headquarters in Muscat.
Steven Lauver, President and General Manager of Oxy Oman, along with Felix Meza, Oman Country Manager of PCM Muscat LCC and Gharib bin Saad al Junaibi, Chairman of Al Khazain Oilfield Services were signatories for their respective organizations. Abdulkarim al Ghassani, Vice President for Supply Chain at Oxy Oman, and other senior executives were present at the ceremony.
Oxy Oman signed with PCM Muscat LCC for the supply of PCP equipment and support services for its operations at Block 53 in south-central Oman. As part of an ICV initiative to support local manufacturing, this contract enables the establishment of a facility in Nizwa by PCM Muscat to assemble, test, and repair PCP systems.
The facility, with a capacity to assemble 2500 PCPs per year, serves as a distribution center for the pump systems in the region, further promoting local manufacturing capabilities.
Oxy Oman’s contract with Al Khazain Oilfield Services for the provision of temporary power generator services will provide fuel generator sets in support of various projects within Mukhaizna Field. The contract underscores Oxy Oman's commitment to supporting local businesses and ensuring operational efficiency.
“These contracts exemplify Oxy Oman's dedication to fostering local partnerships and advancing economic growth in Oman. Through strategic collaborations with PCM Muscat LCC and Al Khazain Oilfield Services, we aim to strengthen local manufacturing capabilities and ensure operational excellence,” said Lauver.
