Mauritanian President receives Foreign Minister

NOUAKCHOTT: President Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania received at the presidential palace in Nouakchott on Tuesday, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidy, Foreign Minister.
During the meeting, Sayyid Badr conveyed greetings and best wishes of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to President El Ghazouani and the people of Mauritania. His Majesty also wished bilateral relations further progress.
On his turn, the Mauritanian President asked Sayyid Badr to convey his greetings and best wishes to His Majesty the Sultan and the people of Oman.
The meeting reviewed path of relations between Oman and Mauritania. It underlined the joint keenness to promote them in various spheres to serve interests of the two countries and their peoples.
The meeting also touched on a set of issues and developments at the regional and international arenas.
It was attended by Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Mauritanians Abroad and Shaikh Saif bin Hilal al Maamari, Ambassador of Oman to Mauritania. — ONA
