MUSCAT: The Royal Academy of Management (RAM) today launched the third edition of 'Etimad', the national leadership development programme for empowering mid-level and senior managers in the private sector.
A total of 202 private sector workers and entrepreneurs will be attending courses as part of 'Etimad' programme.
The programme is implemented in partnership with Emeritus and in collaboration with Columbia Business School, Tuck Executive Education Programme at Dartmouth and the Executive Education School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
The programme highlights the Academy’s efforts to hone the skills of mid-level leaders in a way that contributes to excellence in performance and the establishment of departments run by human resources that are capable of responding to market dynamics, future expectations and rapid developments. It also enables the participants to benefit from the capabilities of national and international experts who provide the best global practices.
The programme offers a 7-month course on four educational units based on specialised orientation learning, practical workshops in simulation style and distance learning. The course also includes group learning projects and virtual learning sessions. This will enhance the participants' potential in areas of digital business strategies, financial statement analysis, financial data analysis, creative thinking and skills on how to deal with individuals and organisations, innovation and change management.
The programme targets employees at the level of department heads and team leaders in the private sector. The recent batches of participants were selected from among more than 3,400 applicants.
Earlier, a total of 750 participants from private sector institutions and entrepreneurs attended Etimad Programme during its past editions. The programme provided the local market with skilled managers, and thus serving domestic development and economic projects in the Sultanate of Oman in a manner that meets the objectives of Oman Vision 2040. — ONA
