Oman Vision 2040 strategic plans, programmes reviewed

MUSCAT: Oman Vision 2040 Implementation Follow-up Unit on Wednesday held its second annual meeting with members of government-unit-based-offices tasked with implementing the vision.
The meeting, held in Muscat, reviewed strategic plans and programmes to achieve the vision’s objectives, the progress made in related projects and proposed solutions to address the challenges posed to the project’s implementation.
During the meeting, a “Vision Offices Guide” was issued to streamline the efforts of Oman Vision 2040 offices that are based in government departments.
Sayyid Dr Munthir bin Hilal al Busaidy, Deputy Chairman of Oman Vision 2040 Implementation Follow-up Unit, said that the meeting was a step forward in ensuring the alignment of plans and programmes to achieve the objectives of the vision.
The participants in the meeting listened to progress reports and presentations made by representatives of the Ministry of Education, the Development Bank and the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion.
They spoke about performance indicators, achievements made in cooperation with the private sector and investment cooperation departments.
The meeting was attended by Dr Khamis bin Saif al Jabri, Chairman of Oman Vision 2040 Implementation Follow-up Unit, and heads and representatives of the vision’s offices in government units. - ONA
