Never risk it for a fatal taste

Life is more precious to be sacrificed for useless stuff that can bring harm. Life is very valuable not to be carelessly lost or wasted for harmful substances. Life is lived only once, thus, it should be well-invested and carefully breathed and preserved. Once you inhale air, you cannot guarantee that you can exhale it later; this could be the last moment of your lifetime!

One’s life might come to an end any time; it is just a matter how serious you are about protecting your life and making it more fruitful and worthy. There is no doubt that nobody would love to have a tough time or experience a miserable life. Everyone wishes to have a happy, prosperous and successful lifespan. Hence, one must avoid things that destroy the body, mind and spirit during a lifetime. Instead, one has to live the moment and enjoy it as much as possible.

The past days are over and now it is the present life! It is you who will make it or break it. The choice is always yours! As your day-to-day life is being impacted nowadays with modern technology and various changes, lot of people are getting trapped in extremely bad things that bring psychological, social and monetary loss. They become victims of their own desires, slip-ups and ignorance of life values.

Among the most common issues badly affecting the lives of many people are addiction to drugs. These psychotropic substances are widely available and unfortunately could be easily reached. Many people, especially youth, have surrendered their lives to drugs as they are getting addicted to them. They regard them as a relief from stress of life; however, drugs are the reason behind their failure and misery. It is all because they got addicted to drugs while some are misled by their peers.

Addiction to drugs is becoming really a big issue in the society. These poisonous substances have severe impact on individuals and society alike as many parents have lost their loved ones. Likewise, couples are getting divorced and families are being separated because of this serious crisis. However, tremendous efforts and attempts are being made by many public and private organisations to combat drug addiction and drug trade.

The number of addicted people is increasing every year. Many other addicts are even scared to get registered and offered professional treatment by rehabilitation centres. It is really serious if those addicts are rejecting treatment as their condition might get worse. Even though, tremendous efforts are made to combat drugs, treat all those who got addicted and provide relevant essential health services, the problem still persists.

All the endeavours and initiatives have been offered in collective cooperation between all the parties concerned including ROP, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Social Development, Ministry of Health and others. Great efforts by government, individuals and public institutions can fight this issue in the society and save youth.

Special state-of-the-art healthcare facilities, social, psychological and awareness programmes, comfortable homes and dedicated clinics are available all over the country to treat drug addicts. As well, devoted counsellors and consultants are available to support the addicted who undergo treatment or those interested to give up drugs forever. Besides, psychological clinics are in place in different governorates to provide initial consultation and diagnoses for the addicted or suspected ones.

Drugs will aggressively attack youth who are the backbone of the nation and future heroes. Public associations, sports clubs, mosques and youth camps call for common comprehensive drugs combat campaigns all over the country. All these institutions definitely play a vital role towards youth guidance and inspiration. All should join hands together to have a country free of drugs.
