The Ministry of Health (MoH) is showcasing its latest technological advancements and strategies at COMEX 2024 aimed at transforming healthcare services nationwide.
According to Al Mu'tasim bin Abdullah al Mamari, official spokesperson of the Ministry, four primary objectives are in focus as part its participation in the expo. Firstly, it seeks to demonstrate the breadth of its electronic services portfolio while introducing new offerings designed to benefit a diverse range of users.
Secondly, the Ministry endeavours to foster collaboration with domestic partner institutions to enhance the quality and accessibility of government electronic services, thereby improving citizen satisfaction and engagement.
Additionally, the Ministry is exploring opportunities for investment and collaboration with private sector entities to further innovate and refine its service delivery mechanisms. This strategic partnership aims to leverage the collective expertise of both public and private sectors to address evolving healthcare needs effectively.
Furthermore, the Ministry aims to leverage the COMEX platform to draw insights from both national and international experiences, enhancing its technological capabilities and staying abreast of global best practices in healthcare technology deployment.

Plans are underway to expand its scope beyond Ministry of Health entities, encompassing various national healthcare institutions and private sector stakeholders.
The Ministry's ‘Shifa’ application, boasting over 300,000 users, has emerged as a cornerstone in fostering positive interactions between the Ministry and its beneficiaries. Its user-centric design and practical functionalities have garnered widespread acclaim, further cementing the Ministry's reputation as a leader in digital healthcare innovation.
In a recent triumph, the Ministry secured recognition in the government initiative category at COMEX 2024. Its groundbreaking proposal, in collaboration with the Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology, aims to harness information technology to support public health initiatives.
