Weather: Classes suspended across multiple governorates

Muscat: In response to the adverse weather conditions sweeping across various regions, educational authorities have announced the suspension of classes in all public, private, and foreign schools in the governorates of Muscat, North Al Sharqiyah, South Al Sharqiyah, and Al Dakhiliyah for tomorrow, Monday, April 15, 2024. This decision comes as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of students and faculty amidst the heavy rainfall.

Oman News Agency reported the official announcement on Sunday, confirming that studies will resume on Tuesday, April 16, 2024.



Classes in private higher education institutions and vocational colleges supervised by the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation (MOHERI), will be shifted online on Monday. The institutions will have the right to decide whether or not to resume regular studies during the period of the affected weather conditions.​​​​​​​
