Madayn signs pact to provide customs services in industrial cities

MUSCAT: The Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (Madayn), represented by the General Directorate of Investor Services, signed a cooperation programme with Al Munasiq Customs Services Company, as part of Madayn’s endeavour to enhance the added value for investors in its industrial cities. This is through cooperation with private sector institutions with competence and experience in various fields to provide quality services to investors.

The cooperation programme represents the provision of 11 customs services, the first of its kind to investors in the industrial cities affiliated with Madayn. The services include the classification of goods shortlisted for new industrial exemptions, customs consultations and follow-up of transaction corrections when authorized by the respective companies.

It also includes training services on the Bayan system according to the powers of the company’s system, classifying lists of goods to request adding tax exemption goods, storing lists of goods to request industrial exemption in the Bayan system. Other services also include training on customs procedures, consultations on the harmonised system, and consultations on the Bayan system according to the powers of the company’s system, in addition to the harmonized system training service. — ONA
