NCSI gets ISO certificate for data security management

MUSCAT: The National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) has been awarded the Information Security Management System certificate (ISO 27001:2022 ISO/IEC) by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) in recognition of NCSI’s application of the highest levels of excellence in the field of data protection and security.
Khalifa bin Abdullah al Barwani, CEO of NCSI, said that the Centre’s obtaining the ISO 27001 certificate was the outcome of extensive efforts exerted by the NCSI in establishing and maintaining a secure statistical and information environment in all the tasks assigned to it and its ability to update its electronic services, its electronic portals and digital platforms.
The ISO 27001:2022 ISO/IEC certificate (ISMS) is awarded by the ISO, an international accreditation service organisation based in the United Kingdom. The organisation is specialises in the field of developing administrative systems, evaluating performance and services and calculating globally applicable quality measurements. — ONA
