MUSCAT: The Youth Centre in Muscat has introduced an extensive array of programmes tailored for the holy month of Ramadhan. Designed to foster the skills of young individuals and optimise their time during this sacred period, these initiatives encompass a wide spectrum of activities.

Among the offerings are sessions delving into Quranic recitation, a digital drawing camp, a contemporary agriculture programme, a financial literacy workshop including basics of investing in financial markets, and the engaging Al Badel youth challenges. Additionally, the Virtual Youth Academy programme, hosted on LinkedIn, offers specialised training opportunities.

Mohammed bin Nasser Al Lamki, the Director of Programmes at the Youth Centre, highlighted the significance of these Ramadhan programmes in nurturing the talents and aspirations of young people.

He emphasised the intent behind each programme, such as fostering creativity through digital drawing, educating on modern agricultural techniques, enhancing financial decision-making skills, and promoting teamwork and sportsmanship through youth challenges.

The 'Glimpses in Tajweed Quran' programme aims to refine Quranic recitation skills, while the Virtual Youth Academy on LinkedIn provides targeted training for over 350 beneficiaries, both male and female.

With a commitment to youth development, the Youth Center continues to expand its programme offerings across various domains. By the end of 2023, it had delivered over 190 programmes, benefiting a significant number of 37,544 young men and women.
