Opportunities are created not granted

Making a living is a difficult mission for a man as opportunities are limited and competitors are many. Whoever is having the skills and abilities, will get the job they are looking for. However, opportunities might take some time to come for some people. Thus, they have to wait patiently to catch the right opportunity at the right time. Likewise, one has to remember that good opportunities will never return. As it has been said that victory comes from finding opportunities in problems.

Many people seek new opportunities in their careers and personal lives for fulfillment, motivation or individual growth. However, opportunities do not knock when they come, so one has to build a door for them. Opportunities are never lost, but someone will take the one you missed. Just catch the fish before it lands in the hands of another person. Usually, opportunities do not come with their values stamped upon them. Everyone must be challenged.

In fact, a pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity, but an optimist sees opportunity in every difficulty. Accordingly, one shall spare no effort in looking for potential job opportunities. A person in need must approach organisations where you believe have jobs matching your qualifications, expertise, and ambitions too. He/she shall never undervalue any opportunity that gets your way; just try as it might be leading you to a better one.

Opportunities do not happen out of nothing; one has to create them. Similarly, you should be confident that the future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams. Dream of something and you will undoubtedly strive to make it come true. So as to get what you aim for, you have to believe in what Alexander Graham Bell said, “When one door closes, another opens. But, we often look so long and so regretfully on the closed door and we do not see the one which has opened for us.”

Those who are aiming high will always make the best of any opportunity that gets into their hands. Great achievements start with simple and humble challenges that one comes across. Remember that step by step, the ladder has to be climbed. Good opportunities might take longer time to come your way. Hence, look everywhere trying to catch the right opportunity. One should not lose hope as the best things in life usually happen when you are least expecting them!

You should get advantage of all opportunities that are offered to you and strive hard to make your own living. Fulfilling your dreams and ambitions sometimes would not happen without undergoing tough experiences and hard times. Therefore, always be patient and cautious until you get what you chased and strive for. Likewise, remember that all challenges are just opportunities.

In this regard, there are many young Omanis who stand as exemplary models for sacrifice, especially those working in the private sector. They have proved beyond doubt that they are very competent, hardworking and reliable resources. This has been proved by the increasing number of Omanis joining the private sector. It is really impressive that young Omanis are grabbing every possible opportunity in the market and fairly competing with each other. Instead, they are competing with other skillful and experienced expat colleagues.

It is just a matter of self-confidence and persistence that urges Omani youth not to underestimate any opportunity that allows them to serve the nation and achieve their dreams. Their belief in the noble mission of their professions helps them excel in what they do, regardless of the type of jobs they have. In fact, they are equally very much contributing in the nation-building march, each is playing a valuable role in this aspect.

The lesson learnt is that every twist and turn in life brings an opportunity to learn something new about yourself, your interests, your talents, and how to set and then achieve your goals.
