OHRC, civil society organisations officials meet
MUSCAT: The Oman Human Rights Commission (OHRC) convened a meeting with several civil society organisations in the presence of Dr Rashid bin Hamad al Balushi, OHRC Chairperson, Dr Mona bint Fahd al Said, President of the Children First Association (CFA), and a number of heads of civil society associations in the Sultanate of Oman along with representatives from the General Federation of Oman Workers.
During the meeting, the development of humanitarian action mechanisms in the Sultanate of Oman was discussed. Furthermore, various topics concerning women, children, persons with disabilities, the elderly, and other vulnerable groups in society were reviewed during the meeting.
The meeting, hosted at the OHRC headquarters, saw the participation of representatives from various organisations including the General Federation of Oman Workers, the Lawyers Association, the Journalists Association, the CFA, the Oman Sociological Association, the Omani Association for People with Disabilities, the Omani Association for children with disability, and the Omani Women Association in Muscat.
