Oman condemns Israeli attacks on scribes at OIC Istanbul meeting

ISTANBUL: The Sultanate of Oman took part in the extraordinary meeting of Information Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) countries in the Turkish city of Istanbul, on Saturday.

The meeting discussed the Israeli occupation’s attacks on journalists in the occupied Palestinian territories and the Israeli attempts to mislead the international public opinion.

The Sultanate of Oman’s delegation was headed by Mohammed bin Said al Balushi, Under-secretary of the Ministry of Information.

The meeting discussed the Israeli occupation attacks that resulted in the death of civilians including 130 journalists in the Gaza Strip since October 7 and Israeli attempts to mislead the global public opinion by spreading false news.

The meeting aimed to exchange ideas and coordinate policy-making efforts within the OIC to confront the misleading media campaigns of the Israeli occupation.— ONA
