Dhofar Municipal Council meeting discusses infrastructure expansion

SALALAH: The Municipal Council of Dhofar Governorate held a meeting under the auspices of HH Sayyid Marwan bin Turki al Said, Governor of Dhofar, Chairman of the Municipal Council.
The meeting discussed matters related to the development of services and municipal tasks in the various wilayats of the governorate and approved the minutes and recommendations of the Council’s 7th meeting.
The meeting looked into the Health and Environmental Affairs Committee’s about proposals to keep pace with requirements of rapid development taking place in the governorate. In this context, the Council was briefed about the need to expand the infrastructure of the sewage system and extend the sewage network to old residential neighbourhoods and heritage areas in Dhofar Governorate.
The Council also discussed the outcome of its Legal Committee’s meeting with the authorities concerned, in addition to related proposals. - ONA
