Urgent call for O blood donors to donate

Muscat: The Department of Blood Banks Services (DBBS) said on Monday there is a severe shortage of blood stocks, specifically the O+ blood group.
In an online statement, the DBBS said, ‘We urge O blood donors to donate blood as soon as possible at the Central Blood Bank in Bausher in order to meet the demands of medical institutions for blood units.’
Meanwhile, people can donate blood from 8am to 8pm, from Saturday to Thursday, and from 8am to 1:30pm on Friday.
