MUSCAT: The second round of matches in Oman’s general basketball league for the 2023-24 season showcased thrilling performances at the secondary hall of the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Bausher. The results included a resounding 84-62 victory for Al Bashayer Club over Ahli Sidab Club and a commanding 97-49 win for Nizwa Club against Salalah Club.
Al Bashayer Club managed to win against Ahli Sidab in a strong game, where Al Bashayer dominated the first and fourth quarters, where the second and third quarters saw a draw, tilting the balance in favour of Al Bashayer. Players like the American Damon James, Osama al Riyami, Said al Saadi, and Bassam al Busaidy played crucial roles in securing the victory.
The game started with offensive and defensive superiority for Al Bashayer, which dominated the quarter with 4 points, while Ahli Sidab scored two points, final quarter ended with Al Bashayer leading Ahli Sidab with 29-9.
