Sayyid Fahd arrives in Doha for the GCC Summit

MUSCAT: HH Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmood al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers, arrived in Doha, heading the Sultanate of Oman’s delegation at the 44th GCC Summit.

Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, received Sayyid Fahd upon his arrival.

Sayyid Fahd conveyed the greetings of His Majesty the Sultan, to his fellow leaders on the occasion of the 44th Summit, coupled with good wishes for the leadership and people of the State of Qatar and for the conference for success in achieving the desired goals.





Sayyid Fahd said in a press statement that the Sultanate of Oman - as the President of the current session of the GCC - values the Council’s achievements in various fields, following the directives of Gulf leaders and the cooperation of member states, which have had the greatest impact in enhancing cooperation.

He added that the region has recently witnessed many rapid developments that have cast a shadow on many countries, which requires more efforts to coordinate positions and unify visions in facing all challenges, ensuring that the people of the region continue their journey in an atmosphere of calm and stability.

He confirmed that the Sultanate renews its continued support for the progress of the Gulf Cooperation Council and expresses its deep appreciation to the State of Qatar for its benevolent endeavors, to establish security and peace and all the peoples of the GCC countries with continued goodness, progress, and development.
