Dr Al Harassi presents awards to students

The General Directorate of Education in Al Sharqiyah South Governorate organised an event to honour students who won the OMIFCO Award for Scientific Excellence on Monday. The awards were presented by Dr Abdullah bin Nasser al Harrasi, Minister of Information.
The Sultan Qaboos School for Boys achieved first place, the Ahmed Bin Majid School for Boys came second and the Abbas Bin Abdul Muttalib School for Basic Education third place. Among girls, Bilad Bani Bu Ali School for Basic Education won first place followed by Bilad Bani Bu Hassan School for Basic Education and Bilad Bani Bu Hassan School for Basic Education in second place and Al Bandar Al Jadeed for Basic Education in third place.
The OMIFCO Award for Scientific Excellence aims to create a spirit of competition between schools to instil scientific spirit among students and encourage teachers to improve academic achievement.
